The Salem 11u traveled to Rantoul for the IFC Spring Invite to play in their first tournament together as a SLYSA team. They opened with a 0-0 draw against the 8th ranked team in the state. In the 2nd match, they knocked off the state’s #1 team 3-1 and then secured the title with an 8-1 win in their finale. Stevie Nix led Salem with 5 goals on the weekend. Brenna Lowry added 3 with 2 from Nia Garden. Sadie Holzhausen also added a goal.
The Salem 13u participated in the 15u Division at the Illinois FC Invitational in Rantoul. After a pair of losses on Saturday, they defeated Illinois FC Blue in their finale. Goals scored by Gabby Gaston and Laney Kuhns.
