Salem Community High School Prom will be Friday night from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Salem Community High School in B.E. Gum Gymnasium.

Doors will open to the public at 7:00 p.m. This year’s theme is “Wisteria Lane,” and the colors representing the theme are lavender, purple, black, and white.

Special music will begin at 9:00 p.m., with the coronation starting at 9:30 p.m. and the Grand March immediately following the coronation.

Retiring Queen Miranda Podergois (daughter of Frank and Nikki Podergois of Salem and Misty Podergois of Centralia) and retiring King Dyson Hails (son of Roger and Brenda Hails of Salem) will lead the coronation.

Spectators may purchase reserved tickets for the gym’s chair seats for the coronation in the Main Office at SCHS from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. starting Monday, April 28th through Friday, May 2 nd. Ticket prices will be $5 for reserved chair seats. Cost for bleacher seats (general admission) is $3 per person and are available for purchase at the door.

As in past years, we will prohibit any parent/spectator from walking on the gym floor during prom. Prom 2025 will be professionally recorded by Wabash Communications and will be available digitally after the prom. Please note, any individual who wishes to videotape on their own will NOT be allowed to use the school’s power outlets due to overloading of circuits.

Prom 2025 programs will be available to download under the News and Events section at www.salemhigh.com beginning on Monday, April 28th.

For Prom 2025 students will enter the prom through the front gym lobby entrance of the SCHS building. Red carpet arrival with spectator viewing will be near doors 18, 19, and 20 in the front, with spectators using either door 18 or 20 for entering the prom.

Prom attendees will use Jefferson Street to line up for arrivals and proceed north behind Phillips 66, and then turn left on Seneff to return to Route 37. Seneff Street will be closed to thru traffic.

Post Prom will be held in the gymnasium after prom, from midnight – 3 a.m. The Salem Lion’s Club sponsors Post Prom. There will be a DJ, inflatables in the small gym, along with food and drinks for all attendees. There will be a cash grand prize given at the end of the night along with various other prizes that include dorm-size refrigerators, iTunes gift cards, various food, gas and clothing gift cards, electronic items, big screen tv’s, and much more.
