The Centralia City Council Monday night will be asked to pass a resolution to approve an agreement with Milano and Grunloh Engineers, LLC to perform engineering services for a replacement water line from Jolliff Bridge Road through the Barton Bottoms to Kaskaskia College and the Centralia Correctional Center.
The city is seeking a grant through Congressman Mike Bost that would pay for 80-percent of the more than three-million-dollar project.
The council will also be asked to grant a perpetual easement to Ameren Illinois along 115 North Oak Street for installation of an underground electric cable.
The meeting begins at six Monday night at Centralia City Hall.
