The Wildcats delivered a strong showing at the 12th Annual Boys Fresh/Soph Invitational, picking up multiple wins, PRs, and a school record. Trey Clark took 1st in discus, and Silas Lux won shot put with a 47’6” PR. Nate Lowry finished 2nd in pole vault, while Madden Thompson claimed 1st in high jump and 3rd in the 100m (11.26). Riley Tate placed 2nd in long jump and 3rd in both the triple jump (36’10”) and 110 hurdles. Payton Gullion tied Tate with 36’10” in triple jump.
The 4×100 team (Keele, Clark, A. Gullion, P. Gullion) finished 2nd at 46.7. Keele, Clark, Tate, and Thompson also placed 2nd in the 4×200. Alex Spencer won the 800m (2:02.61) and took 2nd in the 300 hurdles (44.75). Liam Morris (26.83) and Nate Lowry (27.36) hit PRs in the 200.
The 4×400 team of P. Gullion, Thompson, A. Gullion, and Spencer set a new sophomore record with a time of 3:35.0.
Varsity returns to competition Friday in Sparta.
