Lady Cats move to 5-0 in the conference with a 9-2 win over Freeburg. Bre Thurman was excellent on the mound striking out 12 in the win. At the plate Alivia Rasul led the way with a perfect 3-3 at the plate, Izzy Decker and Lilly Blagoue had 2 hits apiece. Blagoue drove in 3 in her debut including a 2 run homerun her 1st of the season, Decker drove in 2, Emma Lipe, Jaelyn Keller and Rasul had an rbi a piece. Back at it today when they travel to Johnston City.
Arwyn Wilkey hit 2 home runs and drove in 4 as Mt Vernon beat Woodlawn 20-0. Taylor DeSmith was the winning pitcher allowing 3 hits over 5 innings striking out 8. The Lady Rams had 17 hits in the game. Paige Watson also homered for Mt Vernon.
Centralia picked up a South 7 win with their victory over Carbondale. The Annies are 12-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference. They will host Triad on Friday to Rotary Park.
South Central scored 10 in the 3rd inning to beat CHBC 16-2. Bre Buchanan homered and drove in 3, Kyra Swift had 3 hits including a triple and drove in 4. Kinlee Thompson struck out 7 and allowed just 2 hits in the win.
Emma Williamson allowed 3 hits and no runs over 5 innings and struck out 6 to help Christ Our Rock to a 7-2 win over Marquette. Payton Jett doubled, Katie Oelze drove in 3 runs for Christ Our Rock.
Carlyle moved to 7-6 overall and 3-2 in the Cahokia Illinois Division with a 9-3 win over Red Bud. Maddy Rae Schomaker had 2 hits including a double and one RBI. Ella Rolfingsmeyer also had 2 hits including a double and scored two runs. Ava Meyer threw a complete game 5-hitter.
