A 62-year-old Mt. Carmel woman was injured in a single vehicle crash in the 6500 block of State Route 161 Extension west of Old Bell Road in rural Iuka late Tuesday afternoon.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports Luann Garwood was eastbound on the Extension when she overcorrected, ran off the north side of the road, with her vehicle rolling on its before coming to a stop.
Garwood was helped out of the SUV by the Kell Fire Protection District. She was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries by United Medical Response.
The crash occurred at 4:39 Tuesday afternoon.
