Lois Smith, 92, of Altamont, died at 1:28 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural Altamont, at a later date. A private family graveside service will be held at Trinity Cemetery, Hoyleton with Rev. Marcus Manley officiating. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lois Fay Smith was born in St. Louis to Gustav and Freda (Femmer) Pries. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She retired as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner.
She is survived by; her sons, Richard (Joy) Bolin, Dalton Gardens, ID, Stephen (Sandy) Bolin, Lakeside, CA, and Timothy (Tammy) Bolin, Patoka; daughters, Katherine (Gary) Grobengieser, Mason and Anna (Gary) Goldstein, Altamont; 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
