Beginning Wednesday at 6 am, the City of Centralia is conducting maintenance and connections of water transmission lines.
Due to this maintenance, the amount of water in storage will be reduced. City officials are requesting customers to conserve water starting at 10 p.m. Tuesday through Wednesday at 7 p.m., while the maintenance is completed and the reserves in storage are replenished.
Everyone is asked to limit non-essential water use, such as laundry or washing vehicles, over the course of this time.
As usual, any broken water lines should be reported immediately to the City between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by calling 618-533-7623 or by calling the non-emergency number after hours at 618-533-7602.
