The Lady Wildcats had two track meets over spring break, Tuesday the freshman sophomore group went to Marion and the complete team at Mt. Vernon on Wednesday.
Tuesday the young cats competed well against their own age group. Carly Veach won both the 100 and 300 hurdles. Eden Gallia had strong races in the 100 and 200 meter and competed for the first time in the long jump. Emma Tate threw 26’11” in the shot put. Maddie Dulaney found out she can compete in the 400 m.
On Wednesday at Mt. Vernon Eden Gallia pr’d in the 100 m 13.32 and also in the 200m 27.71.Maci Thorsen was 3rd in the 3200. Carly Veach first in the 100h, 16.55 and 2nd in the 300h 49.93. Hannah Smith first in the disc, second in the shot. Ella Smith was 5th in the shot.
The Lady Cats head to Mattoon Tuesday and then to Sparta on Friday of this week.
