Belleville Althoff boys basketball has a new coach, former player and 2000 graduate Doug McMorris will take over for coach Greg Leib. In his playing career, McMorris scored over 1000 points and is currently 3rd all time at Althoff in scoring. He started as an assistant coach under Leib in 2009 where he was a part of the development of the players and program that eventually led to a 2015 state runner up and 2016 state title. Leib announced his retirement after leading the Crusaders to a 2nd place finish this past season at the 2a state tournament.
