Lady Cats best EAWR 5-1 to move to 4-0 in the conference. Bre Thurman struck out 12 in the win, Thurman got her 100th strikeout on the season in the 4th. At the plate Thurman had 2 hits, including a leadoff homerun her 2nd of the season. Alivia Rasul and Emma Lipe had 2 hits apiece as well. Izzy Decker, Rasul and Lipe all drove in runs.
Kyra Swift homered and added a single going 2-3 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored helping South Central beat visiting Neoga 10-0 in five innings. Lauren Johnson doubled and drove in 2 with RBI also from Kinlee Thompson, Amelia Montes and Perci Reid. Johnson was the winning pitcher striking out 9 in five innings.
Taylor DeSmith struck out 11 leading Mt Vernon over Carbondale 8-2. He allowed 5 hits and 2 runs over 7 innings. DeSmioth, Lexi Howard, Arwyn Wilkey and Danicah Tobin each had a hit for the Lady Rams. DeSmith and Wilkley drove in 2 runs each.

TTown beat Windsor/Stew Stras in a good prep softball matchup 4-3. The game was tied at 3 in the sixth when junior Olivia Wermert hit the go ahead RBI single. Windsor falls to 13-2 losing to TTown’s Alyssa Tipton who struck out 12. Clarissa Johnson hit a homer for the Hatchets in the loss.
The Annies softball team travels to Carlyle.
