Three people were taken to the Marion County Jail on outstanding warrants on Thursday.
A 46-year-old Centralia man, Shaun Vaughn of South Locust, was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor no bond failure to appear warrant.
48-year-old John Dhom of Hotze Road in Salem was arrested by Salem Police on a Clinton County no bond traffic warrant.
36-year-old Nicholas White of South Cherry in Centralia was arrested by Wamac Police on outstanding Marion and Jefferson County felony failure to appear warrants.
Salem Fire Protection District was called to High Point South Friday morning after smoke alarms sounded. Assistant Fire Chief Bill Fulton says while nothing was present upon the department’s arrival there was earlier a mist in the air from a defuser that may have set off the alarms. Firemen checked the area with a thermal imaging camera to make sure there were no other issues that were not yet visible.
