The Mt Vernon Girls Track Invitational was held on a perfect afternoon. Mt Vernon brought home the title with 148 points with Pinckneyville 2nd with 102 followed by Carterville with 98, Centralia 91, Salem 70, Nashville 26 and Webber 13.
Leading Salem on the day was Emily Runyon 2nd in the pole vault with Blake Jourdan 4th. Eden Gallia was 7th in the long jump with Jaxey Donoho 13. Donoho also finished 7th in the triple jump. Hanna Smith won the discus with Emma Tate 14th. Smith also was 2nd in the shot with Ella Smith 5th and Tate 11. Maci Thorsen was 3rd in the 3200 and 9th in the 1600, Carly Veach won the 100 hurdles and was 2nd in the 300m. Gallia was 4th in the 100m with Jazmine Guzman 14 and Maddy Dulaney 15. The Salem 4×200 team was 7th. Maddy Dulaney was 12th in the 400. Gallia was 3rd in the 200 with Veach 4th.
