Lady Wildcats Beat Fairfield…SC Falls In Walk Off….Carterville Gets 500th Strikeout from Phillips

The Salem Lady Wildcats try to stay undefeated in Conference play when they travel to Wood River.  Salem beat Fairfield on the road in a slugfest yesterday 20-10 as every Lady Wildcat had a hit.  Reagan Shuler was the winning pitcher.  Bre Thurman had 4 hits, Mya Russell and Alivia Rasul had 3 each.  Thurman drove in 5 runs, Rasul 4 and Katee Sellers had 3 RBI.

Centralia is at Cahokia.

South Central fell at Flora 2-1 in walk off fashion.  Kinlee Thompson had the only RBI for SC scoring Maddi Peddicord.  Peddicord was the losing pitcher allowing just 2 runs on 6 hits with 6 strikeouts.

Carterville improved to 14-2 with a 10-0 win in 5 innings over Peru St Bede.  Caidence Phillips tossed a 1-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts, including her 500th career K.
