The Franklin Park track team traveled to Olney to compete alongside Mt Carmel, Olney, Flora, Red Hill, Carmi and St Joe. Salem won both the boys and the girls competitions. The Bobcats scored 165 points to Carmi 99 and Flora 98. The Lady Bobcats scored 135.5 with Carmi at 101 and Olney at 86.
50 PR’s were set, 10 state standards were met and 1 school record fell. 8thgrader Emily Parrett broke her own shot put record with a throw of 37’. That also exceeded the state standard. Kylan Cassidy won the boys shot and Elijah Swieca 2nd with both hitting the standard. Parrett also met the standard in the discus winning it with a throw of 91’. Teagan Lobek won the pole vault, Kenna Benjamin won the high jump while Owen Tennyson won the boys high jump with Kaiden Washington also meeting the standard.
