An investigation is underway into a death in Centralia.
Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 8 reports that a deceased body was located Monday morning near West 6th Street and South Chestnut Street.
DCI says they were requested by Centralia Police to initiate the death investigation.
DCI reports the investigation is ongoing, and no further information is being released at the present time.
Centralia Police referred all questions about the case to DCI.
