State Police have released the names of those involved in the collision of a ‘short’ school bus and car in Vernon Friday afternoon.
State Police say the bus driver, 69-year-old Susan Landreth of Patoka, pulled from Lair Street in Vernon into the path of a northbound car on US 51, driven by 44-year-old Amy Zanton of Salem.
Zanton was taken to an area hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
The bus driver and two passengers on the bus, 25-year-old Caleb Nowlan of Patoka and an eight-year-old boy from Vernon, all escaped injury.
Landreth was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop sign.
The crash occurred at 2:58 Friday afternoon.
