The Wildcats placed 2nd overall in the Blue Division at the O’Fallon Relays on Monday, earning several top finishes. Silas Lux (43-5 shot put), Trey Clark (146-1 discus PR), and Miking Ettress (19-4 long jump) all took 2nd in their Blue Division events. Madden Thompson won the high jump at 5-11 and finished 2nd in triple jump (38-2), while Payton Gullion placed 3rd in high jump (5-7) in the Blue Division. Riley Tate finished 5th in long jump (18-3) and 4th in triple jump (37-7). Caylen Patterson recorded a PR in the 300m hurdles with a time of 46.74. The 110H relay team (Tate, Richardson, Morton, Sweet) medaled with a time of 1:22.13, and the sprint medley team (Patterson, Keele, Purintun, Spencer) also earned medals with a 3:55.33 finish.
The Salem lady wildcats placed 6th out 10 teams in the varsity division at the Marion Invitational, Marion was the overall winner. The 4X100 relay team of Kinsey Jarrett, Eden Gallia , Carly Veach and Finley Puricelli placed 2nd in a time of 51.27 seconds. Carly Veach was second in the 100 hurdles and 4th in the 300 hurdles. Finley Puricelli took 2nd in the 400 and 3rd in the high jump. Hannah Smith was second in the disc with a throw of 117 feet. The Lady cats will compete again Thursday at the Annie Invite in Centralia.
