The SC Cougars beat visiting Brownstown/St Elmo 4-0 to improve to 5-2 on the season. Colton Smith had 2 hits and drove in a run, Zane Montes added 2 RBI with Chase Guerrettaz also driving in a run. Montes, Colton Smith, Guerrettaz and Trevan Sidwell combined to pitch in the win striking out 14 and walking just 3 allowing no hits.
St Anthony beat Effingham High in the County Battle 9-5. The Shoes trailed 3-2 in the bottom of the 6th, but scored 7 in the 7th.
