Centralia BPW gives back to the community

BPW presents a $500 donation to Mission Centralia.

Centralia BPW announced that it has made monetary donations to various local groups from the proceeds of the Trivia Night fundraiser held in January. Photos provided by Centralia BPW.

Mission Centralia: Builds wheelchair ramps and handrails for people in need in the Centralia High School district.

Home to School Connection: A resource for families that have students enrolled in Centralia City Schools ensuring needs are met for a successful school year.

SAFE: A non-profit sexual assault center that provides free services to victims of sexual assault/abuse and their non offending family members by offering medical/legal advocacy, family, group and individual counseling and prevention education.

Centralia Community Youth Center (CCYC): Amazing resource and safe place for our youth, offering after school tutoring, sports and various other programs.

Carrie Leigh’s: It is the mission of Carrie Leigh’s to provide children with free art programs at local festivals and other local locations.

Centralia High School Band: The band has participated in concerts, marched in parades and competitions bringing home lots of sought after trophies. Hosted “Music in our Schools” and will be marching in one of the Magic Kingdom’s parades in Orlando, FL later this year.

Centralia Regional Library: Offers many free programs for the community with activities for children and adults. They also offer free Wi-Fi at all times and are a host for a Centralia Little Food Pantry.

New Horizon Christian School Robotics Club: Encourages 5th through 8th grade students to learn more about science technology, engineering and math. Throughout their time in Robotics Club, members practice programming through block coding and build and program at least one autonomous robot using Lego Spike Prime technology.
