Lady Cats Shutout Paris….DeSmith Dominates Carmi In 8-inning Thriller

The Salem Lady Wildcats earned a hard fought road win at Paris 2-0.  Bre Thruman was the winning pitcher striking out 10.  Marah Johnson led the offense with 2 hits and an RBI.  Emma Lipe also drove in the go-ahead run.  Salem is scheduled to host Waltonville today.

Mt Vernon softball got an amazing pitching performance from Taylor DeSmith in their 1-0 win over Carmi.  She threw the 8 inning shutout striking out 16.  Addi McMillen singled in the walk-off winning run.
