The Salem Wildcats are now 5-2 on the season and have won 3 straight following last night’s 7-4 win under the lights at Centralia.

Ryan Detering drew a walk scoring a run in the first and Rhett Detering extended that advantage with a sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 2-0 in the 3rd.  Two more runs would cross the board for Salem in the fourth capped off by a solo home run from Noah Nix his second of the season.

Jalen Inlow earned the win giving up 6 hits and 2 earned runs in his 5 innings of work.  Nix got the final 6 outs for the save.

Deacon Snow and Nolan Pryor drove in Centralia runs.  Mike Organ doubled and tripled for the Orphans.  Xavier Koch added a double and was good on the mound.  He went 4 innings allowing just 3 hits and only 3 of the 5 runs allowed were earned.

Salem will travel to defending 2a state champion St Anthony on Monday while the Orphans open up South 7 play against Carbondale on  Tuesday.
