The Kell Fire Protection District reported no damage in a flue fire at the Jerry Devore home in the 5100 block of Walnut Hill Road in rural Dix Tuesday morning.
Fire was coming out the flue of the home when firefighters arrived on the scene. The fire was discovered when the homeowners heard falling debris near the wood stove.
It was suggested to the homeowner to have the flue inspected by a specialist before reusing.
The fire call came in around eight Tuesday morning with firemen on the scene for about two hours.
