A 42-year-old Ft. Wayne Indiana man was arrested for felony criminal trespass with a person present after allegedly entering a home near I-57 south of Salem.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Andrew Walker had parked his motorcycle along I-57 and walked into an area of houses along the 3800 block of Purcell Road.   He eventually entered one of the homes where he saw a person sleeping on the couch with a dog.   Walker reportedly began petting the dog which barked at him attracting another dog and a man from another room.

Walker was ordered to sit in the residence until a sheriff’s deputy arrived.  When leaving the home, Walker reportedly thanked the residents for allowing him to pet their dog.

Walker was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a first appearance on the charge Wednesday afternoon.
