The Salem Bobcats won the SIJHSAA State Bowling Tournament for the just the 2nd time in school history. Their score of 4530 was 253 pins better than runner up Mascoutah. Waterloo was 3rd and Woodlawn 4th.
Holy Childhood Mascoutah’s Brandon Klein was the state champion. Salem’s Kai Graham, Bentley Bryan and Kylan Cassidy were 7-8-9 respectively to lead Salem to the title. Raccoon’s Jack Schaefer finished the season 68th.
Aviston won the girls title by 35 pins over Smithton with Mascoutah 3rd and Waterloo 4th. Reese Renth of Aviston won the title by just 4 pins over Smithton’s Kendall Johnston. Salem’s Lillian Morris was 35th and Ivy Villalobos 45th.
