The Salem Wildcats head to Mountain Dew Park in Marion to play Goreville and Carterville today. First pitch of the day at noon with the 2nd game starting at 2:30.
Salem is 2-0 after their blowout win over Murphysboro in the Wildcats home opener 14-4 in five innings. Salem scored 9 runs in the 2nd inning to blow the game open. Cooper Lobek was the winning pitcher going 4 innings, with Aaden Rostance working the final inning.
The Salem JV is off today after yesterday’s game with Murphysboro was canceled by the Red Devils.
