Two applicants have now expressed interest in one open liquor license in Odin that would also allow video gaming.

Jeff and Heather Day told the board Thursday night if they received the license they would construct a new building at US 50 and DeWolfe Street where the village recently tore down a home.  The business would offer snacks as well as the video gaming.

Toad Alley Smoke Shop earlier expressed an interest in expanding and is seeking the same license.

The current Odin Village Board agreed earlier to let the newly elected board in the April 1st election to make any decision on increasing the number of liquor license.

Final approval was given to an ordinance that will set guidelines for non-profit games of chance.   The Odin Fireman’s Association plans to begin offering a weekly Queen of Hearts Drawing at Wagers on Thursday night’s beginning next week.

The Odin Village Board is interested in working with Odin school students on a cleanup of litter in the community.  If the school is agreeable, the village will provide them a free lunch after the morning of cleanup is completed.
