The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats are the top seed at home tonight for their Class L Region 8 tournament. They will host Olney at 5pm with Mt Carmel and Flora playing at 6. The championship game will be at 7pm with the winner advancing to Pinckneyville next Saturday for the SIJHSAA State Tournament.
Last night, Wesclin beat Centralia to advance to the State Tournament 25-18, 25-15. Centralia opened the night with a win over Carlyle 28-26, 25-15 while Wesclin was beating Casey Mt Vernon 25-12, 25-15.
In Class S Regionals at Selmaville, the host Rockets will take on Sandoval at 7pm in the championship game with a trip to State on the line.
At Patoka, St Peter and Iuka will play at 4:30 followed by Patoka/Odin and Trinity Stewardson. The championship will be at 6:30.
At Albers, Bartelso will take on St Paul followed by St Rose and Trinity Hoffman. The winner of game one will play Germantown followed by the 2nd winner and Albers. The championship will be held on Monday.
In Class M at Aviston, the hosts take on Okawville followed by Breese District 12 and All Saints. The winners will play later in the night.
At Wayne City, Nashville takes on Wayne City and Woodlawn plays Fairfield.
Last night, Pinckneyville won their region 3 championship beating Zeigler in the finals 25-18, 25-9.
