A 34-year-old Salem man has pleaded guilty to a 2020 aggravated criminal sexual abuse charge in exchange for a Class X felony of predatory criminal sexual assault being dropped.

Jerry Summers of South Franklin was sentenced to four years probation, ordered to undergo drug and alcohol evaluation with treatment and random testing.   He was also ordered to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18 as well as no contact with the victim or the victim’s family.  Summers was fined $2,760, ordered to pay a $1,200 probation services fee and $200 public defender fee.
