Hannibal, Missouri City Manager Tabbed to Lead Salem as New City Manager

The City of Salem has released the name of its new city manager.

She is Lisa Peck who most recently served as City Manager of Hannibal, Missouri.  She brings over 16 years of experience in municipal management.

Salem officials say her career has been defined by her expertise in budgeting, economic development, strategic planning, and fostering strong community partnerships.  During her tenure in Hannibal, she successfully secured millions in grants, improved financial reserves and led key infrastructure projects, demonstrating her ability to balance fiscal responsibility with community growth.

Salem Mayor Nic Farley says Peck’s experience in city management, coupled with her strong leadership and financial expertise makes her an ideal fit for Salem.  Throughout the selection process, Peck distinguished herself as a collaborative leader with a vision for Salem’s continued economic development and infrastructure improvements.

Peck expressed enthusiasm about joining the Salem team, noting ‘I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Salem’s next City Manager.  She sees Salem as a vibrant community with tremendous potential and is eager to work with the Mayor, City Council, staff and residents to build upon the city’s successes and move forward together.

The Salem City Council conducted a thorough search for the next City Manager, engaging in a nationwide recruitment process that included professional background evaluations, leadership assessments, and interviews with a diverse pool of candidates.

The City of Salem is extending its gratitude to Arndt Municipal Support, Inc. which assisted in the executive recruitment process, for its engagement in selecting a city manager dedicated to Salem’s continued success.
