The Clay County Sheriff’s office reports multiple students were treated for very minor injuries after a Clay City Unit #10 school bus left the road to avoid being struck by a wheel that came off another vehicle.
The crash occurred on US 50 near South Main in Clay City. The bus was hauling students westbound on US 50 when an eastbound SUV lost a wheel which came into the path of the bus. The bus attempted to avoid being struck which caused the bus to leave the roadway and strike the ditch.
State Police are investigating the crash which occurred at 12:16 Friday afternoon.
