Police Beat for Sunday, March 16th, 2025

Salem Police arrested 18-year-old Jaci Chapman of West Warmoth in Salem for aggravated domestic battery early Friday morning.  She is accused of breaking a mirror and other items at a home on Roddy Road during an altercation with her ex-boyfriend where he was reportedly kneed in the groin and struck in the face.

Centralia Police arrested 20-year-old Jaxon Kelly of Briarwood Drive in Centralia for allegedly domestic battery.

A Centralia man, Shawn Steevens of East 3rd, was arrested by a Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy for failure to appear on a no bond misdemeanor warrant.

Sandoval Police arrested 41-year-old Katie Divita-Caudet of Centralia for alleged possession of under five grams of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a Saturday night traffic stop.    Divita-Caudet was released on a notice to appear.

Sandoval Police arrested 19-year-old Alyson Cole of Centralia for alleged driving under the influence when they were investigating a suspicious vehicle parked at the Cases store early Sunday morning.  Cole was released on a notice to appear in court.

A resident of the 2000 block of Pine Street in Odin returned home Saturday to find his shed broken into.   The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
