The National Weather Service is expecting a line of severe weather to move across the South Central part of the state between nine and eleven Friday night.

The severe line of storms is expected to travel quickly across the area but could provide a hard punch with winds as high as 80 miles per hour, large hail and a few strong tornados.

A wind advisory is in effect until one Saturday morning.

Rain is expected to end by two am as temperatures drop to just 60 degrees overnight.

Here’s the outlook for the rest of the weekend.  There is a 30-percent chance of showers redeveloping after one Saturday afternoon with a high temperature of 71 under partly sunny skies.  It will remain breezy on Saturday night with winds out of the southwest at 15 to 22 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 36 miles per hour.   There is a 40 percent chance of showers before one Sunday morning as the temperature drops to 39 degrees.   After a mostly cloudy start, sunshine will reappear on Sunday with a high of just 48 degrees.
