Centralia Police handled two injury crashes Monday afternoon.
The first occurred in the 100 block of South Hickory where the driver of an electric bicycle collided with a car. The bicyclist, 58-year-old Karen Deadmond of Maple Street in Odin, was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries. The driver of the car, 24-year-old James Davis of Purcell Road in Salem, was not hurt. He was ticketed for not giving a pedestrian the right away.
The second crash occurred in the 400 block of Noleman Street near Maple. Cars driven by 62-year-old Lola Lybarger of Old Salem Road in Kell and a 16-year-old male from Salem collided. Lybarger was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital by Lifestar ambulance. The juvenile was ticketed for improper lane usage.
The Centralia Fire Department was called to assist those involved in both crashes.
Centralia Police say reports on both crashes are not yet complete.
