Coco Urlacher’s Monster Game Helps Fremd To Title Game….Nashville Gets Rematch in 2a Championship

In a legacy game, NaTallia “Coco” Urlacher, the niece of Chicago Bear great Brian Urlacher, hit a late 3 pointer to send her Fremd Vikings to overtime with Loyola Academy. Fremd would win in double overtime 80-74 to advance to the 4a state championship. Urlacher finished with 37 points and 17 rebounds.

They will take on Chicago Kenwood who got 18 points and 5 steals from Ariella Harrington in their 61-55 win over Alton.

Also in other 3rd place games that were also played on Friday.  In 1a, Cissna Park took home the trophy beating St Edward 50-44.

Mt Carmel took 3rd in 2a with their 50-38 win over Chicago Phillips.

In 3a, Washington beat Quincy Notre Dame 60-51.

Today begins at 9:30 am with the 4a 3rd place game with Alton and Loyola Academy.

Then the 1a state championship between Carrollton and Pecatonica will tip off at 1pm.

The 2a championship between Nashville and Peoria Notre Dame is at 3pm.  It’s a rematch of last year’s championship PND won by 2.

The 3a state title game is at 6pm with St Ignatius Prep taking on Lombard Montini.

Then the final game is the 4a championship between Fremd and Kenwood.
