One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries following a two-vehicle crash in front of Kaskaskia College’s south entrance during the noon hour on Thursday.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department reports a minivan driven by 18-year-old Katherine Johnson of Centralia pulled from Keister Road in front of a northbound pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Andrew Gallaher of Nashville. Johnson was trapped in her vehicle until extricated by the Centralia Fire Protection District. She was then transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia by Lifestar Ambulance.
Gallaher escaped injury.
The crash occurred at 12:08 on Thursday afternoon.
