The IHSA girls state basketball tournaments open up today at CEFCU Arena in Normal. The 1a will begin the day with Cissna Park and Carrollton at 9:30 followed by Pecatonica and Elgin St Edward at 11:15.
Then the 2a semifinals begin at 2pm with Mt Carmel taking on Peoria Notre Dame followed by Nashville and Chicago Phillips at 3:45.
The 3a semifinals begin at 6:30 with Washington and St Ignatius Prep followed by Lombard Montini and Quincy Notre Dame at 8:15.
The 4a semifinals are tomorrow at 11:30 with Alton and Chicago Kenwood followed at 1:15 by Wilmette Loyola Academy and Palatine Fremd.
