A 40-year-old Centralia man was ordered to have no contact with anyone under 18 as part of the conditions of his pre-trial release after being charged in Marion County Court with unauthorized video recording.
Brooks Simpson of Meadowbrook Drive is accused in the charge of placing a device that makes a video record or transmits live video in a restroom of his home and using it to record a person under the age of 18 without their consent.
Brooks was arrested by Centralia Police on Tuesday night after the victim’s mother called police.
Lt. Steve Whritenour says the investigation is on-going to determine if Simpson is involved in any other illegal video activity.
Simpson had a public defender appointed to represent him. He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on April 1st.
