The annual report from the Marion County Health Department shows 1,574 residents were immunized with 2,060 vaccinations in the fiscal year ending December 2024.
The department also completed 467 lead screenings and assisted with a large number of sexually transmitted diseases cases including 147 chlamydia, 52 gonorrhea and 8 syphilis cases. The department handled 55 Hepatitis C investigations, 22 for Hepatitis B, four for histoplasmosis and two cases of salmonella and chicken pox. 27 HIV tests were also given, with two cases investigated.
