Richard “Doug” Schoreck, 61, of Kinmundy passed away at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center in Marion, with his family by his side. He was born on February 25th, 1964, to Richard G. and Phyllis (Sill) Schoreck. He married Doris Rhodes on July 18th, 1986, and they were married 33 years before divorcing in 2019.
He is survived by his children: Larry (Alexis) Schoreck of Farina, Nicki (Ronnie) Whipple of Kinmundy, and Kellie Schoreck of Alma; 11 grandchildren; one sister: Tracy (Vernon) Mulvaney of Kinmundy; an aunt: Pauline Burgess; an uncle James Schoreck; and two nephews: Brandon and Blane; as well as several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Phyllis Schoreck; grandparents: Byron and Dorothy Sill; aunts: Carolyn Rose and Nancy Lafenhagen; and uncles: Larry Sill and Leroy Diss.
Doug was a member of the Kinmundy Christian Church. He was an over the road truck driver for many years, who enjoyed collecting toy trucks. He was an avid hunter that liked to live a simple and private life.
