The Mt Vernon Lady Rams advanced to the Bethalto 3a Sectional finals after their 47-38 win over Effingham. They will take on conference rival Marion who beat Civic Memorial 59-56.
Breese Central continued to roll as they won their 2a Wesclin Sectional semifinal beating Harrisburg 50-23. Taylor Trame led the Lady Cougars with 17. They advance to take on Nashville after the Hornettes beat Vienna 61-32. Emma Behrmann had 18 in the win.
Also, TTown trailed by 30-27 after three quarters but came back and beat the hosts Paris Lady Tigers for the 3rd time this season 44-33. Chloe Probst had 18 and Mollie Ruholl 13. They will play Mt Carmel in the finals after their 39-37 win over Sullivan.
In 1a at Arcola, St Anthony knocked off the hosts 45-34 and will advance to tomorrow’s title game against St Teresa after their 38-32 win over Salt Fork. At Trico, Edwards County easily beat Gallatin County 67-36 and Marissa over Cairo 62-33. At Raymond, Okawville lost to Carrollton 34-22 and Brownstown/St Elmo had a chance to tie at the end but lost to Hardin Calhoun 37-35.
In 4a, Alton won on their home floor beating O’Fallon 46-32. They advance to play Pekin who eliminated Normal Community 47-39.
