Wednesday is the first day for Early Voting in Marion County for the April 1st Consolidated Election.

Early voting will be outside the Marion County Clerk’s office on the second floor of the courthouse on any day the clerk’s office is open from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday except holidays through March 31st.

City, village, school, and township positions are on the ballot.

The clerk’s office also is presently accepting applications by mail or in person for vote by mail voting.  Vote by mail ballots much be postmarked by April 1st.

County Clerk Steve Fox says grace period registration and voting is available for voters who fail to register or update voter registration by the March 4th deadline.  The applicant is required to register and vote the same day in the county clerk’s office.  Grace period voting is from March 5th through Apirl 1st.

Temporary early and grace period voting will also be provided on two days at the Centralia Township Office at 148 South Poplar Street in Centralia.  The voting will be available on Wednesday, March 19th, and March 26th, from nine to three.

Grace period voting will also be available on April 1st from 6 am to 7 pm at both the Marion County Clerk’s office at the courthouse or at the Centralia Township Office.
