The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department has made an arrest in connection with a 33-year-old Mt. Vernon man being found dead in a home in the 12,000 block of East Oakton Road in rural Mt. Vernon.

The department reports they initially were called early Friday afternoon to a domestic disturbance with shots fired at the home.   Initial contact was made with 61-year-old Leslie Borah.  A search of the residence and property led to the discovery of 33-year-old Adam Borah who was unresponsive.

Jefferson County Coroner Roger Hayse was called to the scene and declared Adam Borah deceased.

Leslie Borah was transported to the Sheriff’s Office and arrested for the charge of unlawful concealing of a death. He was released from custody with a mandatory court appearance.

Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigations was requested and responded to process the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy of Adam Borah has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 25th, by Coroner Hayse.

The call about the incident came in at 1:21 Friday afternoon.
