Today is the 3a girls regional championship at Mt Vernon as the Lady Rams will host Carbondale at 6pm at Chagnon Gym. The winner will advance to Tuesdays Sectional at Civic Memorial to take on Effingham.
In 3a regional championships, Marion beat Freeburg at Herrin 61-47, Taylorville lost at home to Rochester 42-41, MacArthur beat Mt Zion 58-51 at Eisenhower. At Danville, it was the hosts falling to Mahomet Seymour 67-43.
In 4a regional title games, Alton beat Quincy in Granite City 63-40.
In 1a regional championships last night at Marissa, the host Meteors beat Sesser Valier 43-26.
In 2a at Gillespie, Staunton beat Marquette 43-28.
