The South Central School Board has set high school and eighth grade graduation.
High School Graduation will be Sunday, May 18th, at two pm. Middle School Graduation will be on May 15th at seven pm. Superintendant Kerry Herdes says both ceremonies will be inside this year.
The board agreed to continue the co-op agreement for high school track with Patoka High School for the coming two school years.
The board approved supporting Vision 2030 in conjunction with the Illinois Association of School Boards and many other groups to support improvements to education for Illinois Students.
The board purchased a 2013 Chevy Truck for the maintenance department and a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica for student transporatation.
In personnel news, the board hired Sydney Schoonover as a certified employee for High School English-Language Arts for the coming school year. Erin Engel was named a volunteer middle school assistant track coach for this Spring.
