The Salem Wildcats finished their regular season at Roxana with a loss to the Shells 53-30. Salem only trailed 11-9 after the first quarter but was outscored in the middle 2 quarters 30-11 as the Shells put the game out of reach.
No Wildcats were in double figures. Ryegan Warren and Noah Nix had 9 each. Trenton Holloway had 13 and was the only player for either side with double figures.
Salem is 7-22 and finishes the conference at 2-8 and in 5th place. Roxana improves to 14-16 and finishes the conference at 5-5 and ties Freeburg for 3rd in the League. Salem will open up 3a post season play at Carbondale against the Terriers on Monday.
The Salem JV finished their year with a dominant 67-40 win. Avery Gullion had 15 of his 22 points in the first half, Payton Gullion added 12 and Eli Baker played well finishing with 9.
