The NWIGP 7th Grade Tournament continued last night. In the championship semifinals, New Horizon beat Raccoon 36-33. Braxton Martinez led the Crusaders with 14 and Hunter Malekovich added 12. John Organ had 25 for the Devils in the loss.
Central City beat Trinity Lutheran 55-24. Kolten Cook had 17 for the Citians, Collin Finkbone added 14 and Beau Goewey finished with 12.
In the consolation semifinals, St Mary/Willow Grove beat Ashley 39-31. Bennett Edwards had 15 in the win and teammate Jimmy Gaston added 12. Clayton Williams finished with 20 for Ashley.
Odin beat the hosts 49-12. Messiah Rigney had 9 and Eli Southerland 8 in the win. Levi Newcomb put in 8 in the loss.
The tournament will finish up tonight. The 7th place game is at 4 with Ashley and North Wamac. Then St Mary/Willow Grove takes on Odin for the consolation championship at 5. Raccoon and Trinity Lutheran will start the 3rd place game at 6 and then the 7pm championship will feature Central City and New Horizon.
