The City of Salem is looking for a new city councilperson.
Tracy Crouch has submitted her letter of resignation. She notes over the last few months, she has had several other obligations that have required more and more of her time and attention. Crouch says because of those distractions, she hasn’t been able to fulfill her obligations and promises to Salem’s constituents.
Mayor Nic Farley is looking for persons who would like to fill the remaining two years of Crouch’s term.
“If there is somebody that has residency within the city limits, then we ask that they either drop a letter at City Hall or email me at mayor@salemil.us with the reason they want to be considered for that position. We will take those letters up until March 18, and then I’ll look to make a recommendation that the council will hopefully act on some time in March or April.”
Farley is thanking Crouch for her service during the past two years.
