The North Wamac/Irvington/Grand Prairie 7th grade tournament began last night. Raccoon beat Ashley 60-10. John Organ led the scoring with 17, Wyatt Squibb added 12 and Logan Brammeier 10.
New Horizon nipped St Mary/Willow Grove 23-19. Hunter Malekovic had 17 in the win, Edwards had 10 in the loss.
Trinity Lutheran beat NWIGP 50-20. Parker Ronnelman and Krue Huels had 11 each in the win and Creed Hodge added 10. Jazymine Chambers led NWIGP with 9.
Central City beat Odin 31-19. Collin Finkbone had 16 in the Citians win. Quintiere Shackleford had 7 in the loss.
The tournament continues tonight. Ashley takes on St Mary/Willow Grove at 4 followed by Raccoon and New Horizon at 5, then Odin and North Wamac at 6 followed by Trinity Lutheran and Central City at 7.
