Sandoval opened up their 1a regional with a win over Maryville Christian 37-30. Amiya Ray had 12 to lead the Lady Hawks and Harlie Harper added 8. Sandoval picked up their 19th win of the season and will play Okawville for the Dupo Regional championship Thursday at 6pm after the Lady Rockets eliminated Dupo 51-19.
Also in 1a regional semifinals last night at Edwards County, Woodlawn beat Webber 49-46. At South Central, McGviney beat North Clay 44-18 and Brownstown/St Elmo over Mt Olive 59-26. At Neoga, St Anthony advances beating Neoga 67-35 and Altamont edged Dieterich 57-54.
